As many folks build their clientele through popups or food trucks or trailers, Dimitri started from the other end! After being in the Restaurant industry for most of his life he decided to buy a Restaurant and he's been easing his way into the BBQ World ever since. Now he has Pit's on order from a local pit builder and friend of ours, Fatstack Smokers and he's got big plans for his BBQ Restaurant. I hope you enjoy the show!

As we continue through this pandemic there is so much uncertainty with Jobs, Bills and basic necessities. Through this darkness, glimmers of light begin to appear throughout the world with people caring and lending a hand to fellow humans in order to survive.
In this Special episode I chat with my friends Danny and Brenda Castillo of Heritage Barbecue. Together with an All-Star Cast they have started a project to help those in need. We talk about how this project came to be and we catch up on their plans to open a new restaurant, their latest trips to Texas and what they're doing to survive during these harsh times. In this episode I chat with my buddies Brad and Brandon Doan of 1775 Texas Pitt BBQ in College Station Texas. Actually, everyone in Texas Calls it Bryan/College Station since both Cities are practically tied together. These country boys are some of the nicest folks you'll ever meet and they're doing some amazing things at the outskirts of this College Town. Students from Texas A&M University, Blinn College and residents from Bryan/College Station and the surrounding communities flock to this Indoor/outdoor establishment. The views of the beautiful Texas Country with Cattle grazing in the distance, the smell of amazing BBQ and the fresh homemade sides & Pies, transports you to a family outing. I visited late last year and It definitely exceeded my expectations. They have a great story which includes Military Service, over 20yrs of Restaurant Experience, Family Pride and Passion. In this episode I interview my buddy Karl Fallenius of OwlBear Barbecue in Denver Colorado. Karl has an incredible story that includes cutting his teeth at the legendary Franklin Barbecue, slinging barbecue in the CO Underground scene and finally opening a brick and mortar in the heart of Denver. We dive into his menu and he even gives us a recipe that is at the base of all of his proteins. He also gives us a peek into the whole Denver Barbecue Scene and share's tips on where you should go if you're ever in the area. My buddy Scott Dube was actually eating at Owlbear while I was interviewing Karl, you'll get to hear him give us a shout out in the background. I had the great pleasure of visiting Owlbear in November of last year and I was extremely impressed with the incredible food. You need to definitely add this to your list if you have not made it out. Welcome to the I Crush Barbecue Show
In our 5th Episode of the season, I chat with Adam Hernandez of Herc's Barbecue in Covina CA. Adam grew up watching his Grandfather cook Brisket and Barbacoa and he remembers the love he had for those gatherings. In a Trip to Texas in 2015 he was suddenly brought back to those days when he had his first Texas Barbecue Moment.
